Ann McGovern

Ann McGovern was described by Eugenie Clark as one of the world’s foremost authorities on marine biology, as a “Cousteau for young readers.” In her more than 30 years of writing books for children, McGovern did not confine herself to marine topics alone. She was the author of more than 50 books, and her many other titles include BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, EGGS ON YOUR NOSE, IF YOU SAILED ON THE MAYFLOWER, TOO MUCH NOISE, and ROBIN HOOD OF SHERWOOD FOREST.
